Felton man charged with molesting children

A southern York County has been charged with sexually abusing children who were 9 and 12 years old when the alleged acts occurred.

State police in York said they filed charges against Joseph Armetta, of Felton, after two adult victims came forward to report allegations of child sexual abuse committed by him, and an investigation produced statements where Armetta admitted to molesting children involved in the case.

Armetta, 46, turned himself into a district judge on Thursday.

He was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, and indecent assault.
