1 dead, 1 injured in Lebanon Co. crash that closed Rt. 22

One person died and another was injured in a two-vehicle accident that has shut down both directions of Route 22 in the Grantville area.

Officers on scene said one of the vehicles pulled out onto Route 22 in front of another vehicle in an attempt to make a
right turn into the eastbound lanes. That car was then struck by another vehicle.

Both direction of Route 22 have been closed down at the intersection with Jonestown Road in Lebanon County. Eastbound Rt. 22 is being rerouted onto Jonestown Road.

There is a second accident in the area, which is being handled by Pennsylvania State Police.

A tractor trailer accident on Interstate 81 North just several miles away has cause a 10-mile backlog on the highway.
