A water main break in York City is restricting traffic on Parkway Boulevard while crews work on repairs.
York Water President Jeff Hines said 13 customers were without water for about four hours this morning after a main broke on Parkway Boulevard.
Traffic on Parkway Boulevard near George Street will be restricted to one lane for most of the day while crews repair the road damaged by the 59-year-old pipes.
Hines said the break began around 4 a.m.; however, customers were not without water until 8 a.m. Their water service was restored around noon.
Those 13 customers will have to boil their water until they are told otherwise, likely for about 24 hours.
