Man arrested after neighbor sees him break into home

Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Webber following a string of burglaries in Susquehanna Township.

On Wednesday at around 1:15 p.m., Susquehanna Township Police responded to a report of a man climbing through the rear window of a home along the 400 block of North 36th Street.

A neighbor saw a man acting suspiciously in the area, then enter the residence through a window. While waiting for police to arrive, the neighbor kept watch on the house and did not see the man leave.

The neighbor then saw the man walking out the front door as police arrived. He was taken into custody.

The man, identified as Webber of the 3500 block of Walnut Street, was found to have socks over his hands. Police said he also had several items taken from the house.

Webber admitted to the burglary, as well as another burglary that on July 8 on Hillcrest Road in Susquehanna Township.

Webber will be charged with burglary, felon not to possess a firearm, possession of instruments of a crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
