If you can make it float, you can probably call it a boat at one of central Pennsylvania's wackiest Fourth of July celebrations.
The “Anything Floats” competition at Children's Lake in Boiling Springs is a race for boats made of anything and everything and sailors who have set their course for nautical nonsense.
Racers competed Thursday in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10-person
races – each with first, second and third place trophies along with the chance to show off their creativity.
The boats must be home built from floating materials and no motors are allowed.
“Anything Floats” is an annual event dating back more than 30 years and is part of Carlisle SummerFair.
