Pa. lawmakers talk liquor, roads as budget deadline looms

Pennsylvania legislators have until Sunday to pass a state budget bill by the June 30 deadline, but they're still talking about transportation funding, liquor privatization and pension reform.

The Senate is expected to reconvene this afternoon and debate a plan to privatize liquor and wine sales.

Getting Pennsylvania out of the business of selling booze is one of Gov. Tom Corbett's top legislative priorities, as is his plan to increase funding for the state's roads and bridges.

The House of Representatives is expected to debate the latest transportation funding plan on Saturday.
