Lebanon police investigate gunshots fired incident

Lebanon police are investigating a report of gunshots fired late Friday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 5th and Guilford streets shortly before 5 p.m., but upon arrival there was no
indication of shots fired, and people in the area did not appear as if
anything happened, police said in a news release Saturday.

A witness indicated hearing some “pops,” but
believed it to be fireworks in the distance, police said.

About 20 minutes later, police were dispatched to a home about one block away for a man
who reported he was shot at in that area.

Police said they spoke with a 22-year
old Lebanon man male who told them that while he was in a vehicle in the
area of 5thand Guilford streets, an unknown male shot at the
vehicle.

A 19-year-old Grantville woman and a 22-year-old Palmyra woman were also in the vehicle.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lebanon police at 717-272-6611.
