A five-mile section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed westbound for about five hours starting late Saturday night.
The westbound lanes of the Turnpike will be closed between the Harrisburg East Interchange and the Harrisburg West Interchange from midnight Saturday until Sunday at 5 a.m.
Workers are setting new overhead bridge beams for the new Marsh Run Road bridge in Fairview Township, at milepost 245.
The recommended detour for westbound motorists is to exit at the Harrisburg East Interchange and take Interstate 283 North to Interstate 83 south, then reenter at the Harrisburg West Interchange.
Alternate route cards will be available to travelers exiting at the Harrisburg East Interchange during the closure.
