The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office has announced criminal charges against an Elizabethtown man for a crash that killed a motorcyclist in the borough last year.
Gregory D. Flick, 25, faces counts of homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, DUI, and five summary citations.
According to the criminal complaint, Flick admitted to police that he had consumed alcohol and smoked marijuana hours before he pulled into the path of 48-year-old Timothy Evans in the early hours of October 21.
Evans, also of Elizabethtown, struck the driver's side of Flick's 2003 Chevrolet Malibu at the intersection of N. Spruce Street and E. Willow Street and died at the scene.
Flick additionally told police that he saw Evans's 2000 Harley-Davidson approaching the intersection, but thought he had enough time to pull out safely, according to the complaint.
His blood-alcohol content was .083 percent and a test also found traces of marijuana, the document states.
