3 charged for thefts in Lower Allen

Police have charged a Hershey man and two juveniles for stealing a gun and other property from dozens of vehicles in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County.

Tyler Williammee, 19, and the juveniles from Harrisburg and Lemoyne were all charged with theft and possession of instruments of crime, township police said in a news release Friday.

Williammee, who was in possession of a handgun stolen from a vehicle, was also charged with carrying a firearms without a license, police said.

Police said the three were taken into custody early Wednesday after officers responded to a report of suspicious persons in the Highland Drive area of Highland Estates.

The trio fled from the officers, but were captured after a foot chase, police said.

Police estimated that more than 25 vehicles had been entered before the three were caught.
