A robber apparently was armed with a gun when he held up a Downtown Harrisburg bank Thursday afternoon, city police said.
The robber walked into the Citizens Bank at 10 S. 2nd Street shortly before 2:30 p.m., gave the teller a note demanding money, and placed what appeared to be a handgun on the counter for the teller to see, police said in a news release.
He fled after the teller handed over a small amount of cash, police said. No one was harmed.
Investigators released a surveillance photo of the man, who was described as a black male in his 20's, about 5'10″ tall and thin, and wearing a red baseball cap that he used to cover the top part of his face.
Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call Harrisburg police at 717-255-3118 or 717-255-3114.
