Federal prosecutors said eight men affiliated with the Latin Kings street gang have been indicted for drug trafficking in York.
The indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Harrisburg last month was unsealed Friday following arrests and initial court appearances.
Peter Smith, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, identified the men as August Ranalli, 31; Marcus Garcia, 26; David Ramsey, 31;
Antonio Navaro-Garcia, 21; Brandon Jones, 24; Michael Enriquez,
28; Daniel Pacheco-Morales, 41; and Carlos Martinez-Villalongo,
36, all of York.
Smith said the indictment resulted from a two-year investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and the York County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
During the investigation, Smith said hundreds of purchases of heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine were made from dozens of individuals affiliated with the Latin Kings street gang, and dozens of people were arrested in a sweep that began February 6.
