State police are investigating a burglary out of Perry County involving over 10,000 dollars' worth of jewelry.
Authorities say that at some point between 12:50 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. on Friday, a burglar broke into a locked residence in the 400 block of Windy Hill Road.
Police report that the burglar took $400 in cash and approximately $10,500 in white gold and platinum jewelry with precious stones like diamonds and sapphires.
According to officials, the burglar may have been bitten by a dog during the incident and may have a noticeable limp.
