Student, 14, charged in high school threat

A 14-year-old student at Fannett-Metal High School has been charged with terroristic threats for a bomb scare that caused the evacuation of the building Friday, according to state police.

The unidentified teen made statements to other students that he had planted a bomb in the west wing of the school, police said.

The threat was reported to school officials at around 12:30 p.m., and the school was immediately evacuated.

Police then searched the building and discovered no suspicious devices.
