A robber pointed a gun at a man's head and demanded his cellphone and money in Midtown Harrisburg on Wednesday night, according to police.
Harrisburg Police say the victim, an 18-year-old Midtown resident, was walking on the 1400 block of North 3rd Street and talking on his cellphone when he was confronted by three armed robbers at 11:05 p.m. Police say the three men were wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts or hats. One man had a handgun, the other pulled a shotgun out of his pants and the other had a bat.
One of the men pointed a handgun at his head and demanded the victim's cellphone and money. The victim gave him his cellphone and one of the robbers searched him and took his wallet and keys.
The three men then walked off. Lieutenant Robert Fegan said he is sure this incident is related to a robbery that took place 20 minutes later on the 1700 block of Green Street.
I have “no doubt it was the same bad guys,” Fegan said.
Fegan said it is also possible that both of these incidents were also related to a shooting investigation on the 1500 block of Naudain Street earlier that night.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ryan Neal at 717-255-7299 or Lieutenant Robert Fegan at 717-255-3114.
