Harrisburg police said a gunshot was fired at a home where several people were seeking safety during an armed confrontation Wednesday night.
At least six people, including an infant, were at the home in the 1500 block of Naudain Street when a group of agitated young people came looking for a teenage boy who lives in the residence, police said.
One member of the group was armed with a shotgun, another had a handgun, and a third man was swinging a belt when they confronted the victims, who retreated into the home and shut the door, police said.
One person in the group then fired a shotgun at the closed door, causing a good bit of
damage, police said. No one was injured.
Investigators said they have the names of some members of the group. No arrests have been announced.
