A fire at a Lancaster County business early Friday was intentionally set, according to police.
West Hempfield Township police said the fire at 3885 Columbia Avenue in Mountville, formerly the Fillings Dry Cleaning business, has been ruled arson.
Officers were dispatched to the business just after 5 a.m. after witnesses reported heavy smoke and flames were coming from the roof.
Once the flames were extinguished, police said they determined the building had been burglarized and numerous items were stolen from inside the business.
The fire originated in a rented out area on the northern side of the building, police said.
The estimated loss of property inside the business is approximately $45,000. No one was injured.
