Live-fire exercises planned at Fort Indiantown Gap

The Pennsylvania National Guard is alerting people who live near Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County that it will be conducting a live-fire artillery exercise over the next three days.

The exercise will take place between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday, between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, and between 8 a.m. and noon on Sunday.

The live-fire exercises use 105- and 155-millimeter artillery, and are conducted about six times a year. The National Guard announces the exercises in advance as a courtesy to nearby residents.
