A Mechanicsburg man has been charged with attempted income tax evasion for 2008 according to the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Thomas C. Holloway, 46, of Mechanicsburg is charged with embezzling company funds that were not reported on his income tax returns between 2001 and 2009.
In a plea agreement, Holloway agreed to plead guilty to the offense and pay $80,000 in restitution to the IRS.
Holloway was previously charged with theft by deception in connection with the embezzlements and was sentenced in 2010 to probation. He was also ordered to pay $125,000 in restitution to Spherion, his previous employer.
The current tax charges claim the tax loss to the IRS was $80,000 for the years 2003-2009.
