Easy Hummus

As a dip or spread, hummus is delicious and whips up quickly. Try this Easy Hummus recipe from Chef Sharon Prudomme of the Lost Cajun Kitchen in Columbia.

Ingredients:

– 2 cans chickpeas

– 3 Tbsp. scallions

– 3 Tbsp. roasted red peppers

– 2 Tbsp. kale

– 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

– 1 tsp. oregano

– 1 tsp. garlic

– 1 tsp. cumin

– 1/4 cup sesame seeds

– 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce

– 2 Tbsp. oil (optional)

 

Directions:

1. In a small pan, roast sesame seeds until they turn darker – note the great aroma!

2. Add all and process.

3. Turn into a bowl and serve with toasted pita points, carrots, tortillas, etc.
