The biggest wing night of all falls on Super Bowl Sunday. This year, Americans are expected to devour over a billion wings, but there were rumors going around that chicken wings might be in short supply.
Turns out that won't be the case, so wing lovers don't have to raid the shelves at the grocery store or cancel Super Bowl Sunday plans.
But it does look like the price may go up. Wholesale chicken wing prices, according to some reports, are at a record high at $2.11 per pound.
We stopped by Arooga's Grille House and Sports Bar in Harrisburg. Those there told us wing price at Arooga's won't go up because of it.
“There has never been a wing shortage. It's just supply and demand,” Arooga's District Kitchen Manger Brian Scannelli said.
