A Messiah College senior is looking for extras for a film being made this weekend at the Carlisle Theater.
Rolando Vega, 21, and his classmates are producing a movie called “Palace,” which tells the story of a projectionist in a 1940s movie theater who becomes a manager and eventual owner of the theater while raising his granddaughter, according to the Carlisle Sentinel.
“This is about a movie-watching experience and how it's changed over the years from these old movie palaces again, to the transition to digital in today's age when I can watch a movie on my 5-inch phone,” Vega told abc27.
The film is expected to wrap this weekend, but Vega needs extras for the final shoot Sunday afternoon following a 2 p.m. movie screening.
Vega said those interested in participating can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Potential extras can also call and leave a message at (908) 698-3386.
