Hundreds of people rallied on the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building Saturday afternoon to protest gun control.
The rally was part of a nationwide movement Saturday called Guns Across America. Participants who spoke to abc27 said they are in favor of the universal background checks that President Barack Obama proposed earlier this week but not other proposals.
On Wednesday, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden presented their gun control plan in the wake of the Sandy Hook school massacre. Obama and Biden are calling for Congress to renew a ban on assault weapons and limit magazines to 10 rounds.
