Man accused of stealing from Harrisburg church

If you ask Pastor Lavette Paige, she would tell you someone missed a pretty important Sunday School lesson.

“The Bible said thou shall not steal, however, someone didn't get that memo,” Paige said.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning, police said 27-year-old Harrisburg resident Hector Ovalles stole electronics from the Martin Luther King Baptist church, which is located on Market Street. They said Ovalles was arrested after a parishioner witnessed the theft, followed him and called police.

Paige said stolen sound equipment has been returned to the church.

Ovalles has been charged with burglary.
