Court papers: Video, husband led to hit-and-run arrest

A Lancaster County woman accused in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 12-year-old girl was charged after her husband voluntarily turned over her minivan to police, according to charging documents.

The court documents indicate that Mullin became upset when her husband asked her about the damage to the front of her red Saturn minivan.

When her husband went to a convenience store where she worked to view outside surveillance cameras, he was told a red minivan was involved in the Thursday morning crash at a school bus stop on Graystone Road and he went to police, documents state.

Police said in the documents that evidence on the Saturn confirmed it was the vehicle involved in the crash, and surveillance video from the store showed Mullin leaving the store parking lot in the minivan moments before the incident.

The girl struck by the minivan was treated for a bruised brain, bruised kidneys, and a fractured left wrist. She was released from Penn State Hershey Medical Center on Saturday.
