Lancaster man had $30K worth of heroin, police say

A Lancaster man has been arrested on charges he was in possession of more than 3,000 packages of heroin slated for distribution within Lancaster County.

Gali Manuel Ortiz-Mangual, 38, of the 600 block of N. Queen Street, was taken into custody Thursday following search warrants on his apartment, rented garage and vehicle, according to the Lancaster County Drug Task Force.

The heroin has a street value of $30,000, officials said.

Also seized was drug paraphernalia associated with the sale of heroin and more than $7,000 in cash.

Ortiz-Mangual was charged with possession with intent to
deliver and sent to Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 cash bail.
