Hanover Hospital announces visitor restrictions during flu season

Hanover Hospital said Friday it is limiting the number of visitors to two people per patient at one time due to an increase in influenza infections.

Hospital spokeswoman Joanne Wantz said the measure was taken for the protection of patients.

She said additional visitors are welcome to wait in the Main Lobby or Nadine's Café.

Wantz added that those who must be at the hospital and are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms must wear a mask.

Masks will be provided at the entrances to the main lobby and emergency department.

The hospital is strongly encouraging those who are sick to not visit patients.
