Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a man wanted for the robbery of a Harrisburg area gas station.

Lower Paxton Township police said the man on Tuesday night went into the Sunoco in the 4200 block of Union Deposit Road, ordered a clerk to give him the cash, and threatened to hurt her if she did not comply.

He kept a hand in his coat pocket, leading the clerk to believe he had a gun, but no weapon was seen, police said.

Once the clerk handed over the money, the robbery ran out the front door toward the Hampton Inn next door, police said.

Police released a surveillance photo of the robber and asked anyone with information to call them at (717) 657-5656 or leave an anonymous tip at (717) 724-8317.
