State police in Cumberland County said they are unable to determine the exact cause of a fire that destroyed a barn Friday morning near Newburg due to the amount of destruction.
The barn at 150 Quigley Road in Hopewell Township caught fire at around 10 a.m.
The owner reported that he saw flames in the area of the electrical service and the fire spread quickly due to high winds, police said.
The family told abc27 News the barn was full of hay, which made the fire harder to get under control.
They said two of seven pigs kept in the barn were killed.
