Girl, 14, reports attempted luring in Littlestown

A 14-year-old Adams County girl told police a man attempted to lure her into his car as she walked to school Friday and then acted inappropriately when she refused.

Littlestown Police Chief Charles Kellar said the man drove up to the girl at the corner of East Locust and Long Alley at around 7:20 a.m. and asked her if she needed a ride.

The teenager declined and continued walking toward Littlestown Area High School. She said the stranger made several inappropriate comments and continued to offer the ride before he finally made some inappropriate gestures and drove away, Kellar said.

She described the stranger as white and in his early- to mid-30's, with short brown hair, a medium build, clean shaven, and wearing a blue zip-up coat.

His car was said to be medium gray and possibly a Honda four-door sedan, Kellar said.

Anyone who have may seen the car or witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to call Littlestown police at (717) 359-4511.
