Hanover property taxes to increase in 2013

Hanover Borough has approved a property taxes increase to cover an larger 2013 budget, the borough office confirmed.

The 1.01 mill increase means homeowners will pay an extra $101 dollars for every $100,000 in assessed real estate.

Borough officials said the increase will cover rising operating costs, such as wages and utilities, in the coming year.

This is the first property tax increase in Hanover in nine years.
