Smoke and flame raced through the third floor of a home on the 200 block of West Cottage Place in York on Friday.
Neighbors knocked on doors trying to get people out of their homes in case the fire spread.
Teisha Godwin, who lives next door, says she heard the smoke alarm go off inside the home that caught fire. She says she knocked on as many doors as she could to alert her neighbors.
Police say everyone got out of their homes and there were no injuries. However, a firefighter was sent to the hospital after falling down.
The Red Cross is providing assistance to people who were displaced or affected by the fire.
