Carlisle police are investigating the theft of a baby Jesus figure from a woman's Nativity scene.

The owner, 67-year-old Victoria Lurch, told officers the scene was made and painted by her husband who recently passed away, police said.

The figure, a baby Jesus painted in a red manger and a white cloth, was taken from Lurch's home in the 100 block of Garland Drive sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Anyone with information on the theft may call Carlisle police at 717-243-5252.
