McDonald’s customer to face charges in argument over cheese

Police said charges are pending against a McDonald's customer who became irate because his hamburger mistakenly had a piece of cheese on it.

The customer knocked over a trash can and threw a child's high chair before he left the restaurant, then attacked a female employee who followed him to the parking lot to get his license plate number, according to police in Springettsbury Township, York County.

The customer took the employee's phone and threw it across the parking lot of the store in the 300 block of Memory Lane, police said.

Police said that since the incident Friday, they have identified the customer through information provided by witnesses and plan to file charges against him. His name was not immediately released.
