Police seek information in home invasion robbery

Police in Cumberland County are looking for information in a home invasion robbery.

Upper Allen Township police said a man and woman approached a resident of the 1200 block of East Lisburn Road at around 7:30 p.m. Monday and asked for help in changing a flat tire.

After a few minutes, the man was joined by a second man and the two approached the house again and asked to use the bathroom, police said.

After entering the home, the two stole the victim's purse at knife point and fled in a red or maroon four-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Fusion, police said.

The suspects were described as two white males between 5'7″ and 5'10″ tall. One had short crewcut hair, and the other was wearing a hat and a puffy winter-style coat. The woman was about 5'4″ tall with long dark hair, police said.

Police said they do not believe the robbery was pre-planned. One theory is that after the flat tire, the men decided to rob the couple because of their age.

The actors had previously mentioned that they were heading to Carlisle, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Upper Allen police at 717-238-9676 or leave an anonymous tip at 717-591-3790.
