Police seek tips in armed store robbery

Police investigating the armed robbery of a northern York County thrift store have released surveillance photos taken during the crime.

Investigators hope that someone will recognize the man wanted for the holdup at the Dollar General at 1500 North George Street in Manchester Township on the night of October 26.

Northern York County Regional police have said the robber entered the front door and locked it, then showed two employees a silver handgun tucked in his waistband.

He took one of the employees to the back of the store, tied his hands behind his back and ordered him into a restroom, then forced the other worker to empty the cash registers before tying her hands and placing her in a restroom, police said.

The employees were not harmed and were able to free themselves and call 911, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Northern York County Regional Police Department at (717) 292-3647.
