2 workers beaten, robbed at York area business

Two employees were attacked and robbed at gunpoint early Friday as they arrived for work at a York area business, police said.

One of the workers, a 50-year-old Hanover man, said three males wearing masks and dark clothing ordered him to the ground and hit him on the shoulder with a pipe outside Glen-Gery Brick in the 1000 block of Boundary Avenue, according to Spring Garden Township police.

A 45-year-old co-worker arriving at the same time was also ordered to the ground and struck about the head area with the pipe, police said.

The robbers fled in the first victim's car, a gold 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with a Pennsylvania license bearing the vanity plate of “MRWILL,” police said.

Both victims were treated for their injuries at York Hospital and released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Spring Garden Township police at (717) 843-0851.
