Lower Paxton man awakened by armed home intruder

A Dauphin County man said he was awakened in his apartment by a home intruder who put a gun to his head and asked for money, according to police.

Lower Paxton Township police said the victim was then tied up by one intruder early Thursday while another ransacked the apartment in the 5000 block of Trent Road.

The victim's brother, a resident of the apartment who was returning home, was confronted by a masked, armed man outside the apartment, police said.

Investigators have not yet determined whether the armed man outside is a third robber or one of the intruders who was inside the apartment.

The victim in the apartment was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

It was not immediately known what, if anything, was taken during the incident, police said.
