A hunter discovered human remains Thursday morning in a wooded area of Elizabethtown, police announced Friday night.
The Northwest Regional Police Department and the Lancaster County forensics team have been investigating the scene, which is on the property of the Masonic Village, since Thursday morning. Friday night, an officer at the police department said crews were still on the scene.
The Lancaster County coroner's office was also been brought in to handle the case. At this time, police do not know if foul play was involved.
Police said the deceased does not appear to be related to the residents or staff of the Masonic Village.
The body has not yet been identified. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
