Police said they arrested a suspect in a York County bank robbery just minutes after he committed the crime.
West Manchester Township police said bank employees saw Jose A. Matias Rodriguez get into a red Dodge Dakota pickup truck after he robbed the Susquehanna Bank branch in the 1200 block of Carlisle Road Thursday afternoon.
The employees called 911 with a description of the robber and his pickup, and an officer spotted Rodriguez on Carlisle Road within a minute of the 911 dispatch, police said.
He later admitted to robbing the bank and was charged with robbery and theft, police said.
Police said Rodriguez had handed a note demanding money to a teller, who then turned over the money in her drawer.
He did not have a gun or any other weapon at the time of his arrest, police said.
