Police investigate deadly crash in Perry County

State police say alcohol may have played a role in a deadly crash in Perry County. A 40-year-old man was killed and a woman is in the hospital.

The crash happened on Route 274 in Tyrone Township two miles west of Loysville just before 9:30 last night.

State police say the car was traveling westbound when the driver crossed the center line of the highway and flipped, hitting a utility pole and tree.

The 40-year-old Blain man inside the car was ejected and died at the scene. The 21-year-old Mechanicsburg woman was partially ejected and flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center with moderate injuries. Police say they weren't wearing seatbelts.
