A man was flown to a hospital after crashing a paraglider Friday afternoon in Franklin County.
Officials said the 25-year-old man was sent to York Hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash off Mountain Road in Peters Township at around 4 p.m.
His name was not immediately released.
Witnesses said they saw the paraglider headed toward a field, but didn't realize it was crashing.
“I felt sorry I didn't stop,” Samantha Logsdon said. “It was what I thought a very graceful
landing, the only thing I can think is a gust of wind caught him and
carried him and maybe I didn't see that part, but once the medics got
here I stopped.”
