A Cumberland County wanted for the attempted kidnapping of his girlfriend last month has turned himself in, according to police.
Silver Spring Township police said 29-year-old Jonathan Lyter surrendered Thursday afternoon.
Lyter, of Mechanicsburg, is accused of forcing his girlfriend into the back bed of a truck before speeding away from the 200 block of Ridge Hill Road on Feb. 18. Police said the woman jumped out of the truck after Lyter went off the road.
She was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Lyter faces charges he violated an Protection From Abuse order, as well as counts including aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful restraint, and harassment.
