A man who had done work at a York County home returned days later and robbed a woman who lived there at gunpoint, according to state police.
Shane Stewart, 29, of Shrewsbury, was charged Wednesday with aggravated assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, robbery, burglary, theft and several related charges.
Police said the victim recognized Stewart's voice from under his ski mask when he forced his way into her Fawn Grove home the night of Oct. 14 and pointed a pistol at her face.
He then forced the woman into a bathroom and told her not to come out for 10 minutes as he fled with items he took from her home, according to police.
Police said Stewart had been at the home three days earlier to retrieve tools and reportedly stole tools at that time.
He was sent to York County Prison on $150,000 bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 17.
Investigators said the incident is not related to an home invasion robbery in Fawn Grove on Oct. 20, when a 66-year-old man was seriously injured by a gunshot to the chest as he struggled with a masked intruder.
Police also announced an arrest in that incident Thursday. A 17-year-old Maryland boy was charged as an adult with attempted homicide and other crimes. His name was not released.
