A New Oxford man was charged with fleeing and eluding after a high-speed chase from Franklin to Adams county early Friday.

State police in Chambersburg said 36-year-old Patrick Williams was clocked at 120 miles per hour on Route 30 in Greene Township just before 2 a.m.

State troopers from Chambersburg and Gettysburg and local police from Cumberland Township pursued Williams to Adams County, where he wrecked his vehicle and nearly caused another vehicle with three people to crash as well, police said.

One of the state police cars also crashed during the chase.

Williams fled on foot after he crashed, but was taken into custody and placed in the Franklin County Jail.
