Homeless man wanted in Chambersburg bank robbery

Police said they have identified a suspect in the robbery of a Franklin County bank on Thursday.

Michael K. Silver, 42, is wanted for a holdup at the Farmers and Merchants Bank at 841 Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg.

Borough police said Silver pulled a black handgun during the robbery, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Silver currently has no fixed address, police said. He has resided in the Martinsburg, West Virginia and Harrisburg areas in the past.

Police said he is currently wanted by several police agencies in Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania,

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call their local police department or 911.
