Lower Paxton police investigating another break-in

Lower Paxton Township police said they're investigating another residential burglary.

It happened at a home on the 2200 block of Parkway West.  Police said the homeowners reported that their house was broken into while they were away, sometime between Monday morning and Wednesday evening.

Items that were out of place, and damage to the home, was first attributed to Tuesday's earthquake, police said.

A firearm and a laptop are among the missing items.

Police said the break-in appears similar to a rash of burglaries in the nearby Forest Hills development.

Meanwhile, police said two more attempted break-ins were reported Wednesday on the 700 block of Scenic Drive. To date, there have been three burglaries and 16 attempted break-ins in that area.  Police do not believe they are connected to the Forest Hills crime spree.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call Lower Paxton Township police at 717-657-5656. Anonymous tips can be made by calling 1-800-262-3080.
