Lower Paxton police investigating 3 burglaries

Police in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County said they are investigating three home burglaries that have been reported since Wednesday evening.

Investigators said a woman was seen forcing open a screen to an apartment in the 1100 block of Summerdale Drive, in the Twelve Trees apartment complex, at around 7:45 p.m.

She fled toward Union Deposit Road when a neighbor interrupted her. Police said a teenage babysitter was watching the resident's children in the apartment.

Two other burglaries were reported this morning, including one that occurred in the 6100 block of Springford Drive sometime since June 27. Police said jewelry and prescription drugs were stolen.

The third break-in occurred overnight at an apartment in the 6200 block of Elaine Avenue, where cash was taken while the residents were sleeping, police said.
