A man suspected of stealing a wallet from a CAT bus was arrested the next day when he got off at the same stop, according to police.
James Litherland, 54, of Middletown, has been charged in a summons with theft, and access device fraud.
Middletown police said surveillance cameras on the bus on Wednesday videotaped Litherland sitting in the same seat as the victim and apparently placing the wallet in his pocket.
Cameras also recorded him in one of two businesses he visited immediately after the theft, police said. A credit card stolen from the victim was used to make $120 in purchases at the businesses.
