Reward offered in armed robbery of Scotland store

SCOTLAND, Pa. (WHTM) – Authorities in Franklin County have announced a reward in the armed robbery of a convenience store.

Franklin County Crime Solvers is offering up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the Feb. 7 robbery of RG's Food Shop in Scotland.

Police said two men armed with a pistol and a knife took cash from the register and bound the employee with duct tape before fleeing in an older model Ford Ranger.

The robbers were described as white males wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black pants, black sunglasses and blue latex gloves. One was said to be about 5'9″ with a thin build, while the other was described as about 5'8″ with a heavy build.

Authorities released surveillance photographs from the store on Doron Road so that someone may be able to identify the suspects.
